Standing for Truth

How many men have fought on our soil? How many men have died on our battle fields? How many men have given their blood to water the growth of freedom, liberty, and justice in this nation whose branches have reached around the world? No one knows how many have fallen or have sacrificed themselves to aid in the founding and defending of this nation, but we as a people can not throw that work away because of our selfish desires.

If we are going to stand out in this world as a place of responsibility, we can not stand idly by as our country dies. We may have power and strength against our enemies now. We have a strong army, navy, and airforce at the moment, but we are being destroyed from within our very homes. The men and women who fought for our freedoms did not intend it to be freedom from rules or be used to aid in the selfishness of mankind.  Rules are created, or should be created, to protect the people under them.

Do we no longer care what our country turns into? Are we such a lazy…

Is Truth Dead?

“Yeah, truth is dead, it’s been laid to rest; They buried it late last night right alongside common sense” proclaims a song released in 2012. That chorus aptly reflects society’s exhaustion of living in a culture of lies; they have concluded that there is no truth. They have given up hope. Yet how can their conclusion about truth be right? Truth is what corresponds to reality, and reality by definition must exist, meaning that truth must exist. But to understand the relationship a little better, one must go back to the start of it all, when God created reality.“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” With those words, God set in motion the earth as we know it.
